A thrift store has opened up on Duke Street with proceeds benefiting the Joshua Group.
Bobby Hayes says 100-percent of the proceeds will go towards helping the kids.
Hayes says he came up with the idea after receiving a lot of clothing donations that were too big for kids at the Joshua Group.
He says he ended up selling old worn out clothing as rags, which ended up turning into a decent profit.
The money from the thrift store will go towards feeding the kids, gas money for the buses that pick them up, and other general expenses that the Joshua Group faces.
The thrift store is called “For The Kids”, and is located on the corner of Duke and Charlotte.
