12 new electric vehicle charging stations are going to be installed at provincial parks and tourism attractions in New Brunswick.
These will be installed at Mactaquac, Parlee Beach, De la République, and New River Beach provincial parks along with Hopewell Rocks and Village Historique Acadien.
This is the result of a partnership between NB Power and the provincial Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture. NB Power’s eCharge network now has 31 standard level-2 charging stations — those take several hours to recharge a vehicle completely — and 18 fast-charging stations.
The standard level-2 charging stations are what will be installed in the parks and attractions.
The stations will be available at the new locations starting this tourism season.
