One of the biggest tourist attractions in Charlotte County is growing thanks to funding from the federal government.
Southwest NB MP Karen Ludwig announced $405,000 for the Kingsbrae International Residence for the Arts in Saint Andrews, on behalf of Minister of Canadian Heritage, Melanie Joly.
The funding allowed KIRA to renovate the heritage residence, art gallery, and artists’ housing, along with building artists’ studios and the new amphitheatre in Kingsbrae Garden.
Ludwig told the crowd, “I am delighted that our government is supporting the renovations at the heritage residence and the construction of the Kingsbrae Garden amphitheatre. This facility is an important part of the cultural infrastructure in the Saint Andrews area.”
Ludwig says the facility is a key part of the arts and culture scene for southern New Brunswick, as well as a contributor to the local economy.
