Fredericton’s police chief addressing a news conference after a deadly shooting on the city’s north side this morning.
Leanne Fitch says this is the worst moment for any chief of police.
The officers who died are constables, 45-year-old Robb Costello and 43-year-old Sara Burns.
Costello has 20 years of service and Burns had 2 years and she served two previous years as an auxiliary member.

Fitch says they won’t be identifying the other two victims at this time.
The suspect is a 48-year-old year man from Fredericton who was arrested at 930 am this morning.
Fredericton Mayor Mike O’Brien says the city is deeply saddened by this incident.
Gaudet says initial call officers responded to was shots fired. They saw the two victims on the ground, and that’s when they were shot.
