A no swimming advisory for New River Beach provincial park has been lifted.
Water tests conducted Thursday found high levels of the bacteria, enterococcus.
The advisory was issued on Friday.
The Department of Environment and Local Government said advisories are issued if sample results exceed the bacteria level for enterococcus.
Enterococcus is an indicator bacteria used in monitoring water quality for indications of recent fecal bacteria.
On Monday morning, more samples were taken again and sent to the lab for analysis.
By Monday night, the beach was cleared for swimming.
