Another of Bordertown’s current councillors wants to hang on to their job.
Dave Hyslop is running again in the municipal elections next month.
Hyslop said he’ll be guided by the people of St. Stephen on the decommissioning of the Milltown Dam.
He also believes addressing the shortage of affordable housing should be a major priority of the new council.
Hyslop is also re-offering so he can keep working on local boards he was appointed to, the Charlotte County Museum and Canada 1st Basketball.
Hyslop said over the last five years, council has updated or developed several new by-laws and policies that were either no longer applicable or archaic.
He said these are the day-to-day items that council needs to keep working on and he plans to move these by-laws and policy revisions forward.
