Sport New Brunswick revealed this year’s Sports Awards at the Fredericton Convention Center over the weekend.
The event highlighted the achievements of athletes, coaches, and volunteers who dedicated their time and effort to amateur sports.
This year N.B. Sport Awards winners include:
- Colin Higgins – male Athlete of the Year for wheelchair basketball
- Danielle Dorris – female Athlete of the Year for swimming
- Canada Winter Games female judo team – Team of the Year
- John “Clary” Stubbert – Coach of the Year
- Gilles DeGrace – Outstanding Media Coverage
- Adam Matchett – Volunteer Administrator Award of the Year
- James Peabody – Offical of the Year
- Dante Cormier – Presidents Award
- North American Indigenous Games Team NB – Nick Lawrence Spirit of Sport Award.
- Catherine MacLean – Lifetime Volunteer Achievement
The evening also included the announcement of this year’s Roly McLenahan Canada Games award recipient, Dexter Richard.
