The 54th annual Santa’s Helpers telethon on CHCO-TV was a huge success.
More than $43,000 was raised during the annual event on Sunday afternoon.
That money will help families in need throughout Charlotte County this holiday season.
“We are thankful to the amazing children of Charlotte County schools who were the true stars of the telethon and the reason so many donors called in,” Vicki Hogarth, news director at CHCO-TV, said in a Facebook post.
“Together, our community once again showed us why this part of the world is such a special place to call home.”
The four-hour telethon featured performances from nearly 1,000 children from across Charlotte County.
