A 22-year-old man has been charged in connection with a home invasion in Charlotte County earlier this week.
Police have arrested four individuals and are continuing to search for a fifth suspect.
RCMP were called to a residence in Oak Bay, near St. Stephen on Tuesday at around 8:15 p.m.
Investigators determined that five individuals forced their way into the home while residents were present.
One of the suspects, armed with a weapon, allegedly assaulted a homeowner, resulting in minor injuries.
Police said the suspects fled the scene with stolen medication before officers arrived.
A short time later, RCMP officers returning from a community meeting encountered the fleeing suspects and arrested four men.
The 22-year-old appeared in court on Thursday and was charged with robbery, break and enter, and uttering threats.
He has been released with an ankle monitoring device and a house curfew while awaiting his next court date.
A 19-year-old man and a 29-year-old man remain in custody, while a 62-year-old man was released with conditions and a future court appearance.
Police believe the incident was targeted and say there is no risk to public safety.
The search continues for the fifth suspect, though no additional details have been disclosed.
