Two new mayors and seven municipal councillors have been elected in New Brunswick.
Municipal byelections took place Monday for nine vacant positions within seven local governments.
Jim Campbell was elected mayor of Fundy Albert with more than 62 per cent of the vote.
Residents in Ward 1 also voted for their next councillor, with David Garden getting the most votes.
In Arcadia, Clinton Sharpe will be the next mayor after receiving 40 per cent of the vote.
Etienne Gaudet received 60 per cent of the vote to fill a vacant council seat in Memramcook.
Other councillors elected include George Boone in Hartland, Peggy Doyle in Miramichi and Ray Croft in Miramichi River Valley.
Other candidates were elected by acclamation in Belle-Baie, Miramichi River Valley and Sunbury-York South.
Meanwhile, vacancies remain in the local governments of Campobello Island and Tracy. They will be included in the local government elections in May 2026.
