One of the Amur tiger cubs born at the Magnetic Hill Zoo has died.
A post on the Zoo’s Facebook says the female cub passed away on Sunday afternoon.
It also states that, “It was evident she had issues since birth including being the smallest and weakest of the four babies. On Saturday morning it became apparent that she was not improving.”
The three remaining cubs are showing no signs of complications and continue to thrive.
The cubs will not be on display to the public for several weeks.
The Zoo says they will remain off exhibit as they bond with the mother, Anya, and also get through the difficult stages of early development.
The Cubs were born at the zoo on May 11th.
