The John Howard Society of New Brunswick is getting a financial boost from Ottawa for its Skills Link program.
Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long announced $722,546 on behalf of the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour.

The Society’s Susan O’Neil says this funding will help up to 48 youth over the next 28 months as they assess the youth to match their skills set with a career goal.
One man says he wants to work in the health and safety sector or even with The John Howard Society to give back for helping him.
Another who is on parole from Nova Scotia, is getting his GED and is already enrolled in a Barbering course in a local college in February 2018.
